Sigma DP2s vs Canon 60D and Sigma 50mm 1.4

I paired the 60d with a nice Sigma 50mm 1.4 lens.  (Other images here: Canon 60d shots of Victoria at Dartmouth Library)

Take this shot.  Very nice.  However…

This shot taken with the DP2s just jumps out at me.  I pulled the Gamma down for effect.  There is something with those Bayer (Canon) sensors; I end up making dozens of tweaks.  The Foveon sensor always nails it when focus and lighting are good.

Next stop Canon 5DMkII.  If that doesn’t work, I’ll be getting a Sigma SD15 (which by the way is 38% of the price–though without good high ISO shooting and Video and a nice used market for lenses, etc.)
Here are some more DP2s shots of my daughter.

The Canon 60d takes marvelous video. I took this with the cheap 50mm 1.8.
